Stats time….

Been a busy time over the last week and the numbers are going down as we taper in Brecon to Cardiff, good luck to all of you doing it next week and we will see you on the way around.

On Strava we now have 173 runners, 102 ladies and 71 gents. Not all so active though, so if you are one of the 52 that have got out there yet, now is the time to get moving (or you may just disappear off the list!!). A few new names on the list this week but not all new to Pontyclun, welcome to the stats  Gaby Worgan, Hilary Wright, Becky MacGregor, Grainne Thomas and Beccy Wilson

So far we have a total of 434 running weeks, these are a week where some one has been out at least once (This will get clearer as the year moves on). The ladies have 226 and the men have 208.
We have a few persistent runners that make it out every week of the year, so far this year there are 48 you are all listed below, so well done and keep it up.
To date we have run 10343.6kms and climbed 101509 meters, logging 1355 runs between us all.
The total distance champion for the year so far is Neil Jones with a total of 511.3km, and the mountain goat crown for the year so far is Gethin Edwards with 6106m climbed.
For the ladies Catherine Powell has done 283.6km and Emma Reed is the highest climber so far with 2807 meters for the ladies.
The longest run to date goes to Jonathan Mead with a distance of 43.3km, longest female run to date is Vicky Mead with a distance of 43.2.
Within the club we have the womblers, at the moment these are runners who are not the fast pace racers and tend to run shorter distances, as these generally get drowned by the high rollers I am creating your own set of stats.
At the moment I have classed womblers as runners who pace at more than 06:30 min / K, and run less than 10km maximum on a single run, we have 17 people who fall into this group.
#PRRparkrun
On Parkrun we now have 51 runners, between us we have clocked up 1386 runs. That’s 6930kms, pretty impressive. To be included in this stat you need to set you club as Pontyclun Road Runners.
Within Parkrun there are milestones for runners and we have a few runners with these, so far we have 4 runners who have completed over 100 runs, and 7 runners who have completed over 50 runs
If you are getting close to one of these milestones let everyone know as we all love to be there to supprt each other for these.

#PRRontour

There has been a few people running away from home over the last week, Paul Binning in Berlin and Victoria Thomas down in ‎Portsmouth. Don’t forget to hashtag to get a mention.

#PRRdab No dabs this week, when the sun starts shinning get dabbing.

#PRRhugs Lots of love out there for our runners, spread the love with our hashtag.
