Well the summer has now come and gone, it’s been pretty busy over the last few weeks but as that calms we now get into race season. We have already seen the Cardiff 10k come and go and there have been lots of others including Vickys amazing run of her 50 @ 50. I think there lots pf people thinking that would be fun, and most of those will never be brave enough to take on such a challenge.
3 new names over the last 2 weeks joining us on strava so welcome to the stats Louise Maxwell-Lyte, Natalie Kendrick-Doyle and Shakira Bennett
88 runners clocking up times last week totalling 2145km on the road, as the half draws closer this should go down a bit, but can’t wait to see the number on the half weekend.
Still seeing those #PRROnTour coming through on the feeds and they are coming from very far afield. Keeps the snaps coming to show us where you are.
Cardiff Half – well you have done all the training, many have their new shoes ready. I think it is safe to say that it will be an amazing day remember to try and enjoy it, unless you are really pushing yourself with a target time enjoy the crowds and support all the way around. If you are pushing yourself, at the end you will realise everything you didn’t spot on the way around when you are running. (Me last year!!! they tell me there were bands playing, but I do remember passing the fireman in all his gear.)
I would go through all the various stats for last week, but there is only one names flooding them all. Vicky Mead has the distance and the climbs this week 82.4km and 894 m climbed. I think it is safe to safe definitely our Queen for the week.
A couple of Dabs popping through on the photos too at the park runs with Trudy Perry running her 100th in Porthcawl.
