We’ve been spreading the love a little today, with PRR members attending both the Newport Half Marathon and the St David’s Day Run, as well as the quite awesomely titled Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon.
Stephen, Gethin, Tudor and myself headed down the M4 a little way to enjoy the delights of Newport. The threatened rain managed to hold off, and we even had some glorious sunshine from time to time! I don’t know that the headwinds were quite what the doctor ordered, but three of the gang ended up with PBs so it can’t have been too bad!
The bling was very nice, and the crowds were very supportive all the way round, so all in all it was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.
Over in Cardiff meanwhile, a healthy contingent of the club were enjoying some Spring weather and taking part in the St David’s 10k race. Kate, Lucy, Kay and many, many others braved a partially waterlogged course to get out and flash the PRR logo. Maybe not a PB event this year, but a good time to start the running season in earnest!
Llio returned back up North to take part in the Anglesey Half marathon, the weather not improving at all on that which we encountered in the South, but there was some awesome scenery on offer.
And that’s not all… Those who hadn’t got themselves into a race for the day still chose to go out and enjoy the weather that was on offer. Hail, rain, wind, nothing stops a Pontyclun Road Runner….
